Current Pursuits: Jessica is currently working in the
pipeline design department at Technip, an oil and gas contractor
in Houston, for the purpose of gathering information to change the
world, or at least a small part of it.
Jessica Fletcher graduated from the University of Houston in May 2011 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology. She has completed her senior design capstone project involving the design and construction of a wave energy converter. As leader of Team Torrent, she directed the efforts of thee team members and four underclassmen. To find out more about the project, please visit http://cot-linux.tech.uh.edu/~wtjohns3/
Research: In the Spring of 2011, Jessica completed research on materials with Dr. Robles in the College of Technology at the University of Houston. This research used laser spectroscopy to test samples for viability for applications in solar cells collecting infrared light making the cell more efficient and able to produce power at night.
